Chapter 9 - True Colors

* * * * * * * *

Quick Notes: I have brought in the creatures the aliens used against the scouts to gather energy. I don’t exactly know how to spell them so I call them ‘Cardians’. If they are actually spelled another way, I would like to know. The Cardians are different than before.

The scouts weren’t long arriving on the scene; by this time there was no one left in the streets. The evil Sailor Moon was still destroying store windows. Serena, as Sailor Moon, looked a little terrified. She couldn’t understand how the Negaverse could have made a clone of her. It was a precise look of Sailor Moon right down to the strength. It reminded Serena of when Zoisite had imitated her to trap her and the scouts but luckily Sailor Venus saved them that day.

“How could Queen Beryl do this?” Sailor Jupiter asked.

“I don’t get it either,” Tuxedo Mask said. “They have not been anywhere near the mansion since the party.”

“Any ideas?” asked Sailor Mars.

“We have to stop her before people think that she’s Sailor Moon,” Sailor Venus answered.

“Let’s go!” Sailor Moon demanded. “Amara, Michelle. You know what to do.”

Both women nodded and they ran toward the nearest deserted alleyway so they wouldn’t be seen if there were any lookers. Within minutes they returned as Sailors.

“Now the whole team has arrived,” laughed a voice.

“Who’s there?” Sailor Uranus demanded.

“No one too important...except maybe for...” Suddenly appearing between the scouts and evil Sailor Moon were Prince Diamond and the rest of the Dark Moon Family. “Us.”

“Prince Diamond,” Sailor Moon gasped in fury. “How dare you show your face? I thought I finished you.”

“You would have my sweet,” Diamond smiled evilly. “Except I had help to stay alive and heal my wounds, which I’m still paying for. But that doesn’t matter. I will have you as my Queen.”

“That will never happen,” growled Tuxedo Mask.

“Why don’t you go growl somewhere else.” Diamond raised his hand. A ball of wind came out of his hand and slammed into Tuxedo Mask. He went crashing into a building, rendering him unconscious.

“Tuxedo Mask!” Sailor Moon screamed as she watched her beloved crash into the building. She turned back to Diamond. “You Bastard. You’ll pay for that.”

“Oh, the little Princess has a mean side,” Emerald taunted.

“Why don’t you taunt someone else!” Jedite shouted. He jumped towards Emerald but somehow he was shoved back.

“Why don’t you pick on us,” Vivianite said as she appeared, as did the rest of her gang.

“Damn!” Malachite cursed. “The Team 5.”

“You’re right on that,” Columbite said. “Now we can clean out the trash.”

Neflite looked up sternly. “Why don’t you fight us one at a time? Wouldn’t it be more challenging to defeat us?”

“Why would we want to?” asked Tincal

“I know you all like challenges.”

Columbite glared at Neflite. He knew the ex-general was right. Team 5’s weakness was wanting to make challenges and defeating the generals single handedly was going to be just that. Each General was just as strong as the traitors if not a little more. No one ever dared to try and test that power when the traitors were working for the Negaverse. But now there was nothing holding them back.

“Fine,” Columbite hissed. “I’ll take you on. Zincite, take on Zoisite, Tincal can take on Jedite and Granite, and you can take on the worse traitor of them all, Malachite.”

“And I’ll,” Vivianite smiled. “Will make sure no one interferes.”

“Let’s get down to business,” Zoisite growled.

As the traitors started their battle with the Team 5, Prince Diamond laughed. “I guess it’s just us now isn’t it. Tuxedo Mask is down for the count and...”

“Wait!”

Everyone turned and saw Mongo.

“Michael,” Sailor Venus said. But then felt like kicking herself.

“No, Sailor Venus or is Mina,” he said. “The name is Mongo, minion of the Negaverse.”

“No!” Venus gasped. She was used. “You used me to get close and then duplicated Sailor Moon.”

“Actually,” Emerald interrupted. “Try all of you.” She snapped her fingers and the rest of the cloned scouts arrived.

“Once we get rid of you,” Sapphire said. “Our scouts will create havoc and your secret will be known.”

“No! Sapphire!”

Sapphire looked up and saw the Four Sisters. “The ex and her sisters,” he said as he watched them jump down.

Prisma took a step forward. “Sapphire, this isn’t you. You were never like this. When you died you understood why we left the Dark Moon clan and you forgave me.”

“You poisoned my mind against my own brother. Yes I will admit the Wiseman was using us but Sailor Moon is the enemy.”

“She isn’t,” Birty said. “She’s our friend and we have come to consider her like family.”

“Then you will all die!” Sapphire raised his hand to fire an energy ball towards Birty.

Prisma pushed her sister out of the way and faced the power of the Negaverse. She flew from the pressure of the blast and slammed into her sisters. Sapphire was overwhelmed that she would go in the line of fire, knowing that the power could have killed her.

“Prisma,” Avery said. “Are you alright?”

“I...don’t...know...That...power was...strong,” Prisma choked.

“Save your strength,” Katsy said. “We need backup.”

“No backup is going to save you this time,” Rubeus said. “Attack!”

Cloned Sailor Moon stopped and looked towards Rubeus. She saw the real Sailor Scouts and knew automatically that she was to attack them. She jumped and landed behind her counterpart.

“Guess who,” the evil scout said.

Sailor Moon turned and was face to face with her double. She didn’t even have time to move before she was kicked in the stomach. The other evil scouts went after their counterparts.

“This is going to be interesting,” Emerald said. “Scout vs. Scout.”

“Wonder who will be the victor?” Rubeus smiled.

“We will of course,” Prince Diamond said. “And when it’s over, we’ll take our ladies to be our queens.”

“I like that,” Rubeus laughed.

“No, I don’t think so!”

The Dark Moon family turned and saw two new people standing on a balcony of a nearby building. They looked very alien with their green skin and colored hair.

“Who the hell are you?” Emerald demanded.

“Alan and Anne,” Alan said. “And to make it easier for you we also used to fight the Sailor Scouts.”

Both aliens jumped from the balcony of the building.

“I call upon Cardian Jerna,” Alan commanded. He brought out his flute and began playing. Within moments the card turned into a creature.

“You called,” Jerna said.

“Time for your training to pay off.”

Jerna turned and flew towards the Dark Moon Family. Just as they jumped out of the way, figuring that is what this Cardian was doing, the Cardian disappeared. Mongo also disappeared.

“What the...” Emerald started but was quickly slammed into the asphalt. Jerna had reappeared behind Emerald and knocked her down but then disappeared again.

Sapphire, Prince Diamond and Rubeus began to quickly look around, making sure that wasn’t going to happen to them.

Jerna rematerialized above them. All three were standing by one another. This was going to be easy. Jerna then did a nosedive, knocking them down. Just before she hit the pavement, she disappeared again and ended up beside Alan.

“How was that?” she asked her commander.

“Perfect,” Anne said. “But we are not through yet. They may be down, but they won’t be for long.”

“Let’s add a new one into the mix,” Alan smiled. He threw out a new card. “Cardian Yarsh. Come forth and attack.” Alan played his flute again and the Cardian appeared.

Without saying anything, Yarsh disappeared. Prince Diamond thought maybe it chickened out but...he was quickly thrown to the air. Yarsh reappeared smiling holding her hands up. “Don’t underestimate the Sailor Scouts.”

Yarsh flung her hands and all four dark family members slammed into a building. After a few minutes, Prince Diamond was the only one to get up.

“It will take more than that to get rid of us,” he hissed. “We have tricks up our sleeve to. Evil Ones, do you combine powers!”

“Combine Powers?” Sailor Saturn asked.

“This can’t be good,” Sailor Uranus said, dodging yet another punch from her evil self.

All nine cloned scouts stopped. “Now feel our strength,” they all said. The evil scouts raised their hands. “Negaverse Combination!”

A huge wind came out of nowhere, throwing everyone into the street. Sailor Moon tried to get up and block the wind so the others could fire up their attacks.

“Return Now!” A voice said out of the blue.

“Queen Beryl?” Prince Diamond asked. “But it’s starting to get good.”

“Don’t defy my orders,” she warned.

“Evil Scouts, stand down and return to the Negaverse,” Diamond commanded.

The wind stopped. All the scouts looked up but their enemies were gone.

“Hey!” Jupiter said. “They’re gone.”

“But they’ll be back,” Sailor Pluto said. “They now know about Alan and Anne and we know how we were duplicated.”

“That is so right.” Mongo reappeared where he once stood. “The game is now in our favor. Enjoy these last days of fun girls.”

“Who the hell are you?” Venus yelled.

“It’s so simple.” Eudial appeared.

“What are you doing here Eudial?” Mongo demanded.

“You are getting too much glory. The plan was to capture the scouts not duplicate them through a holographic device.”

“A holographic device?” Sailor Moon questioned.

“You are so in the dark,” Eudial laughed. “And you don’t have a clue. I’ve just learned that Mongo has a previous life.”

“You are walking on thin ice,” Mongo warned. “Shut Up.”

“Not this time,” she hissed. Not once did she take her eyes of the Sailor Scouts. “Sailor Venus, you had a son and I would like you to know that he still lives.”

“What?!” Venus shouted. “How is that possible?”

“Ahh...That is for us to know. Meet your son.” Eudial drifted her hands towards Mongo.

Mongo clenched his fists. “You bitch. You weren’t supposed to tell them.”

Eudial turned to Mongo. “What’s the matter? Don’t think your family can handle it?” She disappeared, leaving Mongo with his family but he soon disappeared ready to kill.

Venus stood with difficultly. She was stunned to hear Mongo was her son. But how? He was only four years old. Malachite went over and placed his arms around her.

Sailor Moon, as soon as she got up, ran over to Tuxedo Mask and used the silver crystal on him. When his fluttered opened, Sailor Moon sighed in relief.

“What happened?”

“Team 5 showed up and started to have a duel with the guys,” Neptune answered.

“And we found out how we were cloned,” Saturn said. “Plus also Alan and Anne have been relieved.”

“How did they do it?” Tuxedo Mask asked.

“Mongo,” Jupiter growled.

“Who’s Mongo?”

“He spied on us as Michael,” Sailor Moon said.

“And apparently,” Jedite responded. “He’s Mina and Malachite’s son.”

“Which cannot be possible,” Venus said. “Malachite Jr. would be four not a twenty-some year old man.”

“Oh but it is,” Malachite said gently. Venus looked at the man holding her. “Just like Queen Beryl has a brainwash machine, she also has a device to age people.”

“That is correct.”

Everyone turned and saw a young man, who looked to be about sixteen and had a horn on top of his head, standing before them.

“Elios,” Mars said. “What do you mean? You knew about this?”

“Yes,” he said kindly. “However, I couldn’t say anything until now. I’m only here for a short time. I came here to explain Mongo’s disappearance and the reason he works with the Negaverse.

“Queen Beryl and Sailor Galaxia had done an experiment. They had decided to crash a plane that had your son and adopted parents on board.”

“The accident wasn’t an accident?” Venus questioned.

“No. Just as the plane was about to crash, Sailor Galaxia saw power potential in your son. Queen Beryl saw it too but she was able to see something else as well. She could feel Moon blood flowing through his veins. They saved the child and did some checking up on him. And they learned that his mother was a Sailor Scout, Venus, but could not figure out who the father was. That was until recently.”

“Is there any way to reverse the affects?” Malachite asked.

Elios nodded. “Yes. The power of the silver crystal will release the negative energy and restore him to his right age and size.”

Sailor Moon looked at her crystal. “Amazing. This crystal is becoming more powerful by the year.”

“As your spiritual mother said once, ‘the strength to protect your friends makes the crystal stronger’. The crystal is becoming stronger not because you are but also because of your love for your friends.”

Venus moved away from Malachite and clenched her fists. “I’ll win my son back. He’ll be my son once again.”

Elios smiled, as his mission was complete. He was sent from Elyison by Queen Serenity to inform the scouts of Mongo’s past. Elios didn’t want to do it but knew that it was his job. It always was his job to protect the dream world but if a high monarch asked something of him, he couldn’t ignore or refuse.

“I must return,” Elios responded. He floated up in the air and disappeared.

Alan and Anne walked up to Sailor Venus. “We’re going to help you,” Alan said.

“You can count us in as well,” Katsy said as she and her other two sisters helped Prisma up.

“We’re all are going to help,” Sailor Moon said. “We’re going to get Malachite Jr. back and get rid of Queen Beryl once and for all.”

“We will triumph,” Neflite hissed. “She’ll pay for hurting Molly.”

“She’ll pay for everything she has done,” Pluto said.

“As the North American phrase goes,” Mars said. “Pay back’s a bitch.”

“Now I know what those images I was seeing when I had my premonition. I was seeing this battle,” Venus said to herself aloud.

“Let’s get back home before people start questioning,” Zoisite said. The four ex-generals surrounded the scouts and teleported back to the mansion. There was now a new mission into the mix.

* * * * * * * *

“YOU IDIOT!” Beryl roared at Eudial. Beryl didn’t care who was in the room. Who ever was in the room was oblivious to her.

Mongo stood in the corner, in the shadows and smiled. He knew Eudial was going to get it and he made sure that Beryl knew about it right after getting back. Not to his surprise, Beryl was furious. But what surprised him was that the queen went suddenly calm. He looked around and saw everyone including Jenna.

He had heard that this was not the first time the queen had done that and when she did that the last time, she had given the person who infuriated her a lesson no one was soon going to forget.

“But your majesty...”

“I will not listen your blabbering mouth anymore. You have more than once crossed me and you won’t do it again!”

Beryl stood as her eyes flickered. Eudial took a step back frightened. She had never seen her this mad before. Not even in stories, except for once.

Beryl waved her hand, and a sudden pain started to emit from Eudial’s heart. Eudial collapsed in pain, trying to breathe.

“Everyone who witnesses this will know, not to anger me,” Beryl said as she walked down from her throne and stopped at Eudial’s feet. The whole time Beryl did not take her eyes off the woman.

Everyone watched in horror as they watched Eudial scream out in pain as her body started to disintegrate very slowly. The woman’s screams were ear piercing as the pain went through her. When the scream’s stop, Beryl looked up to the rest of her minions.

“Don’t,” she said quietly, though one could hear the anger in her voice. “Anger me like this again. Or you will end up the same as Eudial. Now get out of my sight.”

Everyone quickly left at the queen’s order. Mongo stayed behind for a few quick seconds. He couldn’t believe that she would have done that to one of her own minions.

Over deep within the shadows, someone watched. He also couldn’t believe what the queen did but he knew the woman deserved it. She had an over active mouth and he knew that one day; her mouth was going to be the end of her. He turned and disappeared, getting his plans ready for the queen.

More quick Notes: Mongo’s true form may have been blunt but it was necessary as there is only four more chapters left and action needs to start happening. There’s a reason for the bluntness.
