Chapter 10 - Sailor Strength
* * * * * * * *
The winter morning sun of January, shone through the opened curtain. A small breeze from the winter winds was noticed coming from the opened window, which was only opened a crack. The simple breeze woke the woman who was lying beside her sleeping husband. As her eyes opened, she sniffed the air, smelling the scent of winter. It was a calm scent, calming her nerves, as she knew that soon her training would pay off.
Without waking her husband, she slowly climbed out of bed and into the bathroom. It had been two months since the arrival of the evil scouts and in that time the scouts had to battle them. Most of the time it was in middle of the city streets. It was confusing the public, seeing two different sets of scouts and not knowing which ones were the bad guys.
For the past few days, she hadn’t been feeling good and she was starting to wonder why. She did have a feeling of what it was but she wanted and needed to keep quiet about it. If it was what she thought it was, it was going to a blessing. But she couldn’t tell anyone, not even her husband for fear that the Negaverse may hear about it. When she came out of the bathroom, her husband was sitting up waiting for her.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked.
“Better than I have since it snowed last week. Thank you for putting up that...whatever it’s called again in front of the window. I don’t know why, but I sleep better with the window opened.”
“It’s called an Air Clog. It blocks out most of the wind to let a small gentle breeze come in. It also stops most of the cold air too.”
“Yeah I know. You have the heat in here warm and when the wind blows in, it cools down the room.”
“Do you have any plans today?”
“Mina, Serena, Rita and I are getting together and going shopping.”
Neflite smiled. “I am glad the training is now complete.”
“Me too and I know Rita is as well. I just can’t believe it’s been over a month since we finished. Alan and Anne were great helpers.”
“Yeah me too. I wonder if Mongo knew about your training and if he did, Queen Beryl may be ready for your attack.”
“If he did, I don’t think he said anything. If Queen Beryl did know, she would have attacked us by now.”
“Why don’t we go down and see what’s for breakfast.” Neflite got up and reached for his housecoat.
Molly smirked and ogled at him. She always like watching Neflite put on his housecoat in the morning. Of course it gave her an excuse to look at his behind, which was always a sight, especially since he never wore anything to bed.
Neflite turned after getting his housecoat on. “Like what you see,” he said before turning.
“I always have,” she said. She walked over to him and placed her hands on his cover chest. He bent down, kissing her sweet intoxicating lips. Before the kiss got too far, she backed away. “If this continues, we won’t get down in time for breakfast.”
“It wouldn’t be the first time.” Neflite tried to pout but couldn’t stop smiling. “We could always skip breakfast and go straight to the desert.”
“Not today mister,” she smiled back. “I have plans. And the girls are meeting me here after breakfast.” She moved under his arm and went to put on her housecoat.
As she walked downstairs, she smiled. Every morning was the same. They’d get up and just as they would get ready to go downstairs either her or Neflite, mostly Neflite would try a distraction. Sometimes it would work and they wouldn’t get out of the their room until well after breakfast.
“You two are up early,” Mrs. Tsukino said. “Sammy is already off to school and Kenji is in the living room reading the morning paper. He already ate. So it’s just the three of us.”
“What’s for breakfast? And where’s the cook?” Neflite asked as he helped his wife to sit and he sat himself.
“I gave her the morning off. I like to cook for the family. And what’s for breakfast, you’ll have to wait and see.”
“You just don’t like cooking for an army when everyone’s here,” Molly grinned.
Even though, everyone knew that Serena’s mother was actually Queen Serenity, no one dared to tell her. They wanted to wait and see if the spirit of Serenity and Mrs. Tsukino would find each other on their own.
“What’s new and exciting today?”
“I’m going to help Kenji and Sammy with Sammy’s latest Science project and Molly’s going shopping,” Neflite said.
“Sammy’s project is due in two weeks. And I’m not sure if Kenji will have time to help him complete it.”
“What’s Mr. Tsukino up to?” Molly asked.
“I’m not sure, he says it’s a surprise.” Mrs. Tsukino turned and started serving.
Molly looked at her plate and her eyes widened. She had never seen anything like this before. “What is this?”
“I call it Egg Glory.” Mrs. Tsukino stopped. “Where did that come from?”
Neflite looked up. “Egg Glory? That sounds familiar.” Then he remembered back in his glory days as a Prince on the Moon. Queen Serenity always had the cooks feed the visiting Princes her egg specialty. It was eggs with mixed with rice and fish.
“How can you say that. I’ve never heard of it.”
“From the look in Neflite’s eyes I have an idea where he’s heard it from,” Molly answered. “It seems to be a meal back on the Moon.”
“That’s exactly where it’s from,” Neflite answered. “Queen Serenity used to have it made when the visiting Princes arrived.” They’re starting to connect. Serena needs to know. “Molly, when did you say Serena would be arriving.”
“She should be here anytime.”
“Actually she is,” Mrs. Tsukino said. “She’s with her father. Rita and Mina are also here too.” Mrs. Tsukino continued serving breakfast and when she sat, the three ate in silence. After breakfast and Molly and Neflite went back upstairs to get dressed.
When she was dressed, Molly went down to the living room. “Hey Serena.”
Serena looked up. “Morning. Are you ready to shop?”
“Almost. Neflite would like to have a word with you before we leave. He’s in the den waiting for you right now.”
“Ok.” Serena stood and walked to the den. “You wanted to talk?”
“Shut the door,” he said. He was sitting at his desk. In the past few months, Neflite invested in a computer to place in the den instead of having it empty. He had plans that he was going to extend the den into a library. He missed his library with a bar at his disposal.
When Serena had the door shut he spoke before she could ask anything. “Your mother and Queen Serenity and in close proximity of each other.”
“What makes you say that?”
“Breakfast. Your mother made ‘Egg Glory’, which was Queen Serenity’s specialty. It was the only meal Queen Serenity knew how to make and always had it made when I visited the castle.”
“And Mom has no idea how she came up with the idea of making it this morning.”
“No. I don’t know how you want to handle this. But I’d suggest that you speak to your mother about her past. You go shopping, god knows you deserve it but stay on your toes. Outside this mansion, you’re at risk.”
“Don’t have to tell me twice. I almost ran into trouble after leaving my apartment.”
“Did Darien come with you?”
“Yeah he’s here. He was bringing in some supplies you asked for.”
“Good.”
“May I ask what it’s for?”
“You may ask but I won’t answer. It’s a surprise.”
“You are annoying sometimes you know that,” Serena smiled. “Well I think we’ll head out before the shops start getting too crowded.”
“I’ll walk out with you.” Neflite stood and walked around the desk.
When Neflite and Serena walked into the living room, Darien was brining in the last of the supplies. Kenji was helping him.
“I’ll see you later, Mol,” Neflite said and kissed his wife. “Love you.”
“Love you,” she said.
The four girls got dressed in their gear before heading out towards the limo that was waiting for them. Serena loved driving in the limo. When they were gone, Neflite and Darien silently walked into the den to talk about their plans. It was a surprise for the Sailor Scouts.

Jenna sat in her quarters waiting to hear from Ghostal. Ghostal had left to see how Molly was doing. Lurine and Astral were talking amongst themselves of how to get everyone who wanted out, out of the Negaverse.
“It’s been a couple months since Eudial’s death and I still can’t get over it,” Jenna said.
Astral turned, her purple tail swishing as she spoke. “Being here as long as we have, you get use to the spontaneous actions. Queen Beryl killed someone like that before but it only happened once and that was back before the Negaverse destroyed the Moon Kingdom.”
“What happened?”
“They defied Beryl’s orders and plans leaked out past the main force, which at the time was the Generals who betrayed the Negaverse.”
Jenna looked stunned. She felt a phase in subspace and knew it was Ghostal returning.
“What did you see?” Jenna asked.
“Your daughter is going shopping with some of her friends.” Ghostal looked like she was holding something back.
“What is it?”
“I...I didn’t want to say anything until known for sure,” Ghostal said. “But Molly hasn’t been feeling good for the past couple days but she’s not saying anything.”
“Wonder what that could mean?” Lurine asked.
Jenna’s eyes brightened. “I woman knows how her body works and if I’m correct Molly could be pregnant. My baby may have a child yet.”
“We’ll have to keep this from the queen and everyone else. If they learn about that, Beryl may provoke another attack to anger Neflite. She’s waiting for the scouts to blow and attack without thinking,” Ghostal said.
“Astral round up the others,” Jenna commanded. “Lurine you stay with me for company and the rest I want you to follow Molly to make sure she stays out of trouble. I will not let Queen Beryl hurt her again, even if it means a painful death. I will die knowing I protected my daughter.”
“We’re with you all the way,” Astral said. “Ghostal, might as well head back out.”
“Right.”
* * * * * * * *
“Your majesty,” Rubeus said. He watched Queen Beryl look from her crystal ball. “You called for me?”
“Send out our scouts. Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus are with two of their friends, shopping.”
“Yes, your majesty. We’ll make quick work of their friends and bring the two scouts here.”
Rubeus turned and saw Mongo approach. “If you are able to bring her here, you can basically say that I’ll be your step-son.”
“Whatever,” Rubeus grumbled and left.
Queen Beryl smiled. She liked it when she saw her minions taunt each other but she didn’t like when her orders were defied. “Mongo,” she said. “What brings you here?”
“I want to know what was the real reason you brought me here.”
“You finally want to know. Galaxia and myself saw power potential in you. But I was able to look deeper and found out that you had Lunarian blood. I suspected that one of the scouts was your mother and it was confirmed when I learned that Sailor Venus had a son. It wasn’t until later that it was with Malachite.
“Go check on Jenna. I have a feeling she’s up to something and I want to know. She has been too quiet since she arrived.”
“Yes my queen.” Stupid Bitch. I know who keeps ruining your plans and you haven’t got a clue. I will use that information to my advantage.
* * * * * * * *
Jenna felt another pull of subspace and knew this time it wasn’t any of her youma. It was someone new. When he appeared, she recognized him as the man who was Mina’s son.
“What do you want?” she snarled. Lurine was not far off.
“Checking in on you,” he sneered. “I see you’ve found a youma to work for you. What do you plan to do?”
Just as Jenna and her youma planned, making everyone think the Negaverse was getting to her. She placed on her best poker face and spoke. “That’s none of your concern. If it was I’d tell you.”
Mongo laughed. “Spoken like a true denizen of the Negaverse. We’ll make a warrior out of you yet. But I’ll be watching you.” Mongo disappeared before she could utter another word.
“I wonder if he suspects?” Jenna questioned with a little fear.
“Don’t worry, Mongo is talk. He can’t listen in on us. He can when you are alone but with one or all of us around, he can’t hear nothing only see.”
“I hope you’re right. Where are the others?”
“Getting ready to leave the Negaverse to help your daughter if needed.”
* * * * * * * *
The four girls were having fun in their shopping. They had been to so many stores that they couldn’t remember them all. They were all having so much fun that they forgot the situation with the cloned scouts.
“I can’t remember what’s its like to shop and not have to worry about money,” Rita laughed as she was putting her bags in the trunk of the limo.
“Me too,” Mina said. “In fact I don’t think I’ve ever been on a unlimited shopping spree.”
“Well you get use to it,” Molly grinned. “I’ve been doing this ever since the wedding. You should have seen me in Italy.”
“Yeah I know,” Serena said. “You showed me what you brought back and frankly it was too much.”
“Well I deserved it.”
A few screams interrupted the girls. Molly and Rita looked at each other with worry.
“What was that?” asked Rita.
“Here we go again,” Serena groaned. “The clones are attacking again.”
“Let’s move. Hopefully we can handle them,” Mina said. “You two stay here.”
“No,” Rita said. “We’re coming as well.”
Serena nodded and headed towards a deserted alley. Mina followed and both girls transformed and went to where the screaming was coming from. What they saw startled them.
Not only did they see ‘evil’ Sailor Moon and Venus but also Mercury and Jupiter. But that wasn’t what startled them. Sailor Mercury was holding two people high in the air upside down, about ready to drop them.
“Hold it!” Sailor Moon shouted. “We are the real Sailor Scouts!”
“Champions of Justice!” Venus shouted out. “We’ll right wrongs and triumph over evil!”
“You think so,” evil Moon said. “We have you out numbered. There’s four of us and two of you. I think you can do the math.”
“If you know anything about me,” Sailor Moon said to her counterpart. “You’ll know that I hated math.”
“That’s right. You did. Well I don’t,” evil Mercury said. “What should I do with these pitiful humans?”
“Drop them of course,” evil Venus said.
“Don’t you dare drop them!” Sailor Moon warned.
Evil Mercury let go and the two humans started to drop. “Oops what a pity. I let go.”
Molly and Rita watched in horror as the two humans were dropped. Molly recognized one of them as her friend Kim.
“NO!” Molly shouted. Molly’s fear turned to anger. She clenched her fists as she watched Kim, seven months pregnant. Her anger consumed her and suddenly she felt a power emitting from her and a light engulfed her. She looked down at herself and saw that her clothes were changing.
When the light died, there stood Molly wearing a sailor suit. High brown boots covered her legs, as was a matching skirt. Her skirt was different from the other Sailors. The skirt was high at one side but longer on the other. Her hair was long in a sideways ponytail and had green bows. She looked at her hands and a power wand was held tightly within her fingers.
With no hesitation, she jumped into the air and caught both falling people and landed on the ground, carefully releasing Kim and the other person.
Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon looked stunned.
“Who the devil are you?” evil Venus shouted.
Molly turned and glared at Venus’s evil self. “I’m Sailor Earth! A scout from the past. And you just made your last mistake.” Sailor Earth threw her hands up and shouted. “I call upon the powers of my home, Earth. Return to me.”
Sailor Earth felt a power tingling at her fingertips. Not sure what to do, she allowed her past self to take control. “EARTH QUAKE FIRE!” Her hands, on their own accord, went straight in front of her and she felt the tingling stronger. As quick as the words, a lighting bolt emitted from her fingers and struck the ground, creating an earthquake. Evil Sailor Venus and Moon were knocked to the ground as snow fell from a roof and surrounded them. They were in too much shock to dodge.
“None of the that,” evil Mercury said. She looked to the ground and saw three frightened children. They were scared stiff. Mercury then shifted and started towards them. She was going to have some fun with the kids.
Rita saw the children and saw Mercury head towards them. Where Rita had kids and feared for their safety, it angered her that Mercury’s counterpart would attack them. Rita’s anger suddenly got too strong and she was quickly engulfed in light. When the light down, Rita stood wearing a sailor outfit as well.
Unlike Sailor Earth’s, she had ankle boots, which were red and a red skirt. Yellow bows accented her fuku. Her hair was done in bun with hair blowing down from the middle. Her skirt was in the same fashion as Earth’s but the longer part was on the opposite side. She looked at her hands and a power wand was held tightly within her fingers.
Rita quickly ran out and grabbed the kids just as Mercury was about to catch them. Rita skidded and gently placed the kids on the ground. Without looking she said. “Hide kids.”
Sailor Moon and Venus were too stunned to do anything. The Sailor team was now complete.
“I’m Sailor Sun. Champion of Justice! How dare you pick on innocent children who are not even part of this fight.” Like what Earth did, Sun looked into the sky. “I call upon the powers of the sun.” Sun felt a power coming from the palms of her hands.
“Time to get this over with. SUN FLAME BLAST!”
Out of one palm of her hands, a beam of flame came blasting out, hitting evil Mercury in the chest. She went flying into wall that was closest to her.
“Wow,” Sailor Moon breathed.
“Don’t wow,” Earth yelled to her friend. “There’s still more.”
* * * * * * * *
Queen Beryl watched from her crystal ball. She was infuriated. She couldn’t believe that there were two more Sailor Scouts and they were Rita, a crystal carrier, and Molly, the traitor’s wife. “TINCAL! VIVIANITE! MIMETE! IRON MOUSE! GET OUT THERE NOW!” she roared.
* * * * * * * *
The four Sailor Scouts had the evil Sailors pinned to the ground. Sailor Moon smiled as they won.
“Think fast Sailor Moon!”
Sailor Moon quickly looked as Mimete came flying towards her. She barely had enough time to dodge when Iron Mouse came out of nowhere. This time Sailor Venus easily saw her coming and swung out her love chain, knocking her to the ground.
Sailor Earth and Sun had their own problems as they were dealing with two members of the Team 5.
“So you two got the better of us again. Well not anymore,” Vivianite spatted.
“Why don’t you go crawl up a tree,” Earth said. “Better yet, let me help you. EARTH QUAKE FIRE!”
The quake came towards Vivianite and she easily dodged but what she didn’t see was she was standing under a tree. She slammed into a branch and crashed to the ground.
Sailor Sun was busy dodging attacks from Tincal. When she trained she couldn’t understand why the dodging was necessary, now she knew why. Dodging was quite easy and she wasn’t even loosing any energy yet. She remembered when she found out that the pool no longer had energy reserves. Neflite had slowly reduced the power to nothing. Another part of training.
Tincal stopped, as he was getting restless.
Sun saw this and took this to her advantaged. “Had enough, well I haven’t. SUN FLAME BLAST!”
Tincal didn’t even have time to dodge as he was out of energy but did have enough energy to teleport back to the Negaverse just before the blast was to hit him.
“Jerk!” Sun hissed. She turned as Sailor Moon and Venus were having a little difficulty.
Knowing Vivianite was unconscious, Earth also saw her friends in trouble. She walked over to Sun. “Get the evil Scouts and draw the attacks towards Mimete and Iron Mouse. I’ll distract them to get Sailor Moon and Venus out of the way.”
“Good idea.” Sun ran towards the three remaining evil Sailors who were still strong enough to fight. “I bet you can’t catch me,” she taunted at them.
She quickly picked up speed and ran around the three. That alone, was making Jupiter angry.
Meanwhile Sailor Earth jumped between her friends and the two Negaverse minions. “Why don’t you pick on someone who’s stronger at the moment,” she taunted.
“Good idea,” Mimete said. “Two against one. Good odds.”
Mimete went towards Earth but she quickly jumped out of the way, pushing her two friends to the ground.
“Now Sun!”
Sailor Sun saw her chance. She fired a small blast from her hands. Hoping to ignite the evil scouts to fire. Sailor Moon and Jupiter decided enough was enough. They fired their attacks towards Sun. Sun quickly jumped out of the way and watched as the blast went to Mimete and Iron Mouse.
They didn’t even have time to turn when the blasts slammed into them. The blast was hard enough that it not only threw them into building but also destroyed them.
The three evil scouts looked in shock as they just killed their own minions. Before they could react, they disappeared, as did Vivianite and Sailor Mercury.
Sailor Moon got up and ran over to Sailor Sun. Sailor Venus got up and helped Earth to her feet and then joined her leader.
“Rita. Molly?” Sailor Moon asked.
“Neflite did say that our powers would return from anger,” Earth said.
“And he was right. Sailor Earth watched Kim fall and she’s seven months pregnant and I watched evil Mercury try to attack kids.”
“Your strength lies within pregnant women,” Venus said to Earth. “And yours lies with innocent children.”
“Hello,” Kim said nervously as she approached the scouts. “Thank you for saving my life. My unborn child and myself are in debt to you.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Earth said. As much as she knew Kim, she couldn’t say anything. “I’m just glad you’re alright.”
“You also helped my lawyer. Neflite Stanton referred me to him.”
“I’ve heard of you,” Sailor Moon said. “You’ve had help from him. Well I’m glad you’re no longer with your abusive husband.”
“Me too. I better get going before I lost my ability to walk.”
“To be on the safe side,” Sun spoke. “Go see your doctor to make sure what happened did not upset the baby.”
“I will. Thanks.” Kim turned and slowly walked away.
“Let’s head for home before we have a media circus on our hands,” Sailor Moon said.
“Neflite is going to be shocked to hear what happened.”
The four girls left the middle of the street and went to a nearby alley to transform back to normal. When they were, they went to their limo and headed for home. Their shopping day was now ruined but it was still an amazing day. They did a major shopping spree and Molly and Rita transformed into Sailors. It was going to be quite amazing when the others were to hear about what happened.
