Mongo sat in his quarters, with a smug look on his face. His mission was almost complete. He only had one more thing to do. It had been a few days since ‘Team 5’ went up against the Sailor Scouts. After they returned he secretly used his powers, which were undetected, considering the fact that his powers were from the Moon and took a pictures of the scouts.
He now had holographic images of the scouts standing before him. They looked identical to the real the scouts. He still didn’t know what the queen wanted with the scouts but he wanted to get away from them as quickly as possible and this was one way in doing it. Satisfied, he turned off the holograms and decided to take his discovery to the queen.
When he entered the throne room, all the warriors were present. He wasn’t sure if this was a good thing.
“Your majesty,” he called as he walked in with the holographic device in hand.
“What is it now Mongo?” she snapped.
“I have come up with a new idea, instead of capturing the scouts one by one. When I was with the scouts a few days ago, I made images of them and then created this...” He placed the device on the floor and pushed a button. He stepped away from it and allowed nine Sailor Scouts to appear.
“Holograms?” she questioned. “I wanted them here so I can copy them.”
“And you can,” he said. “Use these Holograms to make duplicates.”
Prince Diamond, who was intrigued by Mongo’s idea, stepped forward. “Your majesty. If I may be so bold. I think Mongo is on to something. Capturing the scouts could make them suspicious, especially if you planned to release them for our plan to work. This way, they won’t know what is happening until the result is revealed.”
Queen Beryl thought for a few minutes. “You have a point. They have become smarter since I battled them last. Very well. Mongo find Ninjanna and give her the device. The rest of you continue with Part 2 of the plan.”
The queen leaned back in her throne with a smirk. Though she was still angered by Mongo’s outburst about keeping his paternity from him, she knew that he would not disappoint her. She was also pleased with the new Generals. They had gone up against the scouts and now she was ready to put the second part of her plan into motion. Mongo returned to his quarters and summoned Ninjanna. She appeared, not to his surprise, from the floor. Before she could utter a word, he handed her the Hologram device.
“You are to make duplicates of the scouts using this device. Press the button and the Sailor Scouts will appear.”
“Yes sir,” she said as she took the device. She knew better than to ask why the change. She disappeared so she could get to her part of the plan. She hated the scouts before but now her hatered multiplied, especially since they killed her the first time.
Mongo on the other hand now had one more part of his mission to complete and now it was time to find out who had the mental powers. He teleported to Neflite’s mansion as he knew ‘his mother’ would be there. All the scouts were always there. Again he was well hidden.
“Hey Mina,” Zoisite came up behind her.
“Hey bro,” she said. “What’s new and exciting?”
“Nothing too much. I hear you spoke to Raye’s mother about ‘our’ father.”
“Yeah and what we were told wasn’t too pretty. In a nutshell, he deceived Queen Serenity. He married our mother and Queen Serenity to get the throne.”
“So he was a con artist. I see Malachite is not with you. Normally he’s not too far away.”
“He’s outside talking with Neflite. Can I ask you a question? Why did you and Neflite not get along?”
Zoisite shrugged. “Honestly, I’m not quite sure. From the first moment I met him I didn’t like him. I think that was Beryl’s doing. Just like she turned me into a woman.”
“I still have a hard time believing that.”
“What, that I am man or that I was a woman?”
“Both, actually.”
“Well I am your brother, and that’s that.”
Over in the corner, Mongo was in shock. His mother and Zoisite were siblings. He was finding more information out then he needed. Even though it was great to him, he knew Queen Beryl wouldn’t have a need for it. Besides, he had the feeling that Beryl already knew that. He crouched further in the corner as he watched ‘his father’ enter the room.
“What are you two talking about?” he asked.
“Aren’t I allow to speak to my sister without getting bugged,” Zoisite teased.
“Depends on what you are talking about,” Malachite smiled.
“Don’t worry, it wasn’t about you,” Mina smiled.
“Any new sightings?” Malachite asked.
“Nope,” she said. “I am wondering what they are up to.”
“You’re not the only one. Why don’t we have a game of Trivial Pursuit and find another player?” Malachite suggested.
“Sounds like a good idea,” Mina agreed. “How about Darien and then have the Chiba family versus the Aino family.”
“I like that idea,” Zoisite said.
Malachite nodded and the three headed out to find Darien.
Mongo stood, confused. Why would Malachite ask Mina if there had been any new sightings? “I have to find out,” he said to himself. He stood from the corner and began to follow ‘his family’ to see if he could find any more information. Hopefully it would be information that could be useful. Molly sat in the pool again after training for a few hours. She was eager to learn, but becoming a scout was tough. She knew Rita felt the same why. Luckily she had wonderful friends to help her out.
As she was about to close her eyes to relax, she noticed Mina, Malachite and Zoisite heading over to the stables where Serena and Darien were. She remembered the day Neflite put the stables in. It was three days after returning home from their amazing honeymoon. Neflite thought it would have been a good idea to have some horses. And it was a good idea. Ever since then, on a daily basis, the Amazon Quartet would go riding around the track that was built.
She also loved having the horses around. It reminded her of when her father would take her to the countryside and watch horse shows and she was always able to ride one of the horses with the rider beside her.
“What are you thinking about?” Rita asked.
“The day Neflite had put the stables in.”
“Yeah. I even enjoy it. A few years ago, I tried to ride a horse but I was having a hard time concentrating.”
“I remember that. That is when Tiger’s Eye attacked you.”
“I still have not forgiven him for that. He took advantage of my weakness.”
“You’re not the only who had the disadvantage of being swindled into his charm. Mina, Lita, Raye, myself and others were.”
“I’ve heard,” Rita said. “I wonder how much longer this training will start to pay off. I’m getting tired of training. I’m always so drained. I can’t even take care of my kids.”
“Raye once told me that it’s determination and anger to bring out the powers.”
“Will that work on us?”
“Perhaps. Only time will tell. One day we will be up against the Negaverse and I want to be ready.”
“I agree. If they can bait the scouts with Serena’s brother, I wonder if they would go after my children. I fear for their safety. That is the only real reason that I’m even attempting this training.”
“What they did to Sammy makes me angry. They only held him captive to flush out the scouts and there are new Generals who are powerful.”
“This is getting more scary by the day. I’m almost afraid to go up against them.”
“Yes but you have a bit of an advantage, the Shadow Warrior that still exists inside of you. If you harness that power like Grandpa had done, you could be stronger than me.”
“I never thought of that.”
“Neflite,” Alan said. “I think you might be working the girls a little too hard.”
“I agree with Alan,” Anne said. “I’ve noticed Rita seems to be tired.”
Neflite sighed. “I know. But what can I do?”
“They know how to defend themselves if there’s an attack. But I don’t think there’s much more you can train them with. Anger is what is going to make them get their powers back. At least that is what I’ve heard from Raye.”
“Raye, Amy and Lita had received their power wands from anger. When Jedite held Raye captive, she was determined to get out of his youma’s grip. Amy also was at the hands of Jedite but she angered from a youma who impersonated her teacher and took control, trying to steal energy. Lita she was just angered when a new friend was hurt and turned to a Shadow Warrior.”
“Well maybe it’s time to call it quits. The girls are too tired and they need their rest in case of an attack,” Alan said.
“Why did the Negaverse attack?” Anne asked.
Neflite turned away from the two aliens and clenched his fists. “I stupidly allowed a crack in the shield. They were able to penetrate and attack. From that Molly lost our baby.”
“How could a crack form?”
“I was too happy and the shield was starting degrade. Well it won’t happen again. Until they are destroyed, I will not show true happiness.”
“Even if Molly ends up pregnant with your child?” Anne inquired.
“Especially that. I will be happy but...”
“If she gets pregnant, it could be a perfect plan for another attack,” Alan clued in.
“That is why I want her healing kept between us. No one will talk about it. We will get the upper hand this time not Beryl.”
“And we will get the upper hand,” Anne smiled. “Just like when the Starlights arrived. We will give Beryl a blow she will never forget.”
“And this time we will be ready. Thanks to Mina’s special power.” Neflite turned back. “Hey Darien,” Mina called. “You want to have a game of Trivial Pursuit with us and have the Aino’s against the Chiba’s?”
Darien turned from brushing a brown horse. Serena was on the other side, also brushing the horse.
“Sure, I guess. Do you mind Serena?” He turned to the scout leader.
“No. This will give me a chance to talk to Molly. I haven’t spoken to her much since the training started and I want to see how’s she’s doing.” Serena placed the brush in its rightful spot, as did Darien.
Silently Darien walked the horse back to the stable and secured him in his stall. Before leaving with his brother and friends, he gave Serena a quick kiss. Serena quickly ran off towards the pool.
“So the Aino’s against the Chiba’s, I like those odds,” Darien said.
“And we’re going to clean your clocks,” Zoisite challenged.
“Not if we clean yours first,” Malachite added.
Mina laughed at Malachite and Zoisite. They were acting like children. It reminded her of when her and her sister did that. Her laugh was soon ceased. She collapsed to the ground in pain. Malachite was quickly at her side.
“Mina what is it?”
“I don’t...know...” she breathed. Her heart was racing, which made her breathing heavier. “I never had something like this happen before.”
“What happen before?” Darien asked.
Mina closed her eyes and allowed her mind to focus on where the pain was coming from. All to soon images were popping her head. She gasped as she recognized the images. “My mental powers are growing.”
Mongo gasped in surprise. Did he hear correctly? Mina is the one with the mental powers. This was what he was waiting for. He was about to disappear but decided to listen longer. He wanted to see what she was seeing.
“I can see danger coming,” she said. “I see smashing windows and a lot of terrified people.”
Zoisite looked at Malachite. “I think I recall Mina being able to have powers like this back in our old lives. She would collapse in pain when something dangerous would happen and if it wasn’t dangerous, it wouldn’t happen.”
As the images started to die down, Mina’s breathing started to go back to normal. She opened her eyes as the last of the images vanished. She stood back up, with Malachite’s help. “I need to speak to Neflite.”
“Maybe we should take a rain check on that game,” Darien suggested. “Is there any way you can pinpoint the chaos?”
“No. The images are too blurry,” Mina agreed. “Until I figure out what the images mean, I don’t think I will be much company.”
“After you speak to Neflite, do you want to head for home?” Malachite asked.
“Yeah. That would be a good idea.” Mina moved away from Malachite’s embrace to find Neflite.
Mongo decided now would be the better time to make a hasty exit. Though he had Moon powers, he still had Negative powers and soon, it would be detected and he wouldn’t be able to teleport to safety. He remembered when Prince Diamond was injured and all because Mina was able to sense him. He couldn’t believe no one figured it out that it was Mina who blew the cover on that one.
When he was back in the safety of his quarters he breathed a sigh of relief. He did not get caught and he was by the person who would catch him. Mina. He smiled evilly as he got the information that Beryl wanted.
Wait a minute...Beryl withdrew important information from him. Maybe he should do the same. He thought for a few minutes and decided that he wasn’t going to let Queen Beryl know this knew information. He decided he was going to have his own plans for his mother. He was going to help Rubeus in getting Mina to the Negaverse.
Mongo laughed as his idea started to work out in his mind. He would continue pretending to be friends with her and then at the perfect moment, strike. He’d have her to the Negaverse quicker than once else has ever tried. Queen Beryl was looking quite pleased. She was soon going to have her revenge. Mongo’s device had worked out well. Now her plan would be set in motion sooner than expected. Though Mongo’s other part of the mission wasn’t resolved yet but that didn’t matter.
“Your majesty.”
Beryl looked up, a little displeased. How dare someone interrupt her moment of glory. To her surprise, though not exposed, she saw Mistress 9 walked into the room. Beryl marveled the woman’s lengthy hair. How she ever kept it maintained she’d never know.
“Ninjanna has just reported that everything is ready for the assault,” she reported.
“Excellent!” Beryl smiled. “Where are our subjects?”
Mistress 9 clapped her hands and silhouettes appeared behind her. “They have all the specifications you asked for.”
Beryl laughed. “This will work out perfect. Time to put our subjects to the test.”
“That’s exactly what I had in mind,” Mistress 9 said. “Mind if we send one for the ultimate test?”
“That is a good suggestion. We must see what type of havoc it will cause. I am placing you in charge of this mission,” Beryl said. “As you know, Sailor Venus, Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter must be not be too harmed. And of course Tuxedo Mask. He’s mine. Don’t over exert the minions. Any sign of major trouble get them back here. They will be needed to exterminate the Sailor Scouts forever.”
“Of course. What of the traitors?”
“Get rid of them as quick as you can. They must not live. While you’re at it, might as well get rid of the girl who our ‘guest’ claims to say is her daughter.”
“Consider it done.” Mistress 9 turned and pointed to one of the silhouettes and it disappeared.
Amara and Michelle were taking a walk in the city. Ever since they had decided to call it quits, they haven’t seen much of each other except when it was Sailor time. Amara missed being around her trusted friend but she liked Greg, though he hadn’t been around much but they did keep in contact.
“Amara, what’s on your mind?” Michelle asked.
Amara looked at her friend. “You know me too well. I was thinking about Greg.”
“How is he?”
“Well he’s going to be back soon. His term is almost up at the IWK Hospital.”
“That’s wonderful.”
“How are you doing with Ken?”
“Well right now, we are just getting to know each other. I know it’s been over four months since the wedding but we both agreed to take it slow.”
“That’s a good plan. It’s best for both of you to get to know the faults.”
“I don’t have faults.”
“Well you like to sleep in when you can,” Amara joked.
“I haven’t slept in much since the day of the fire in McKenna Park, which was set by the Negaverse.”
“I know how you feel there.”
Suddenly a smash and people screaming was heard not too far away. Knowing that both girls were in public, run towards the smashing sound. They soon arrived at where the screaming was coming from and to horrifying eyes; they saw Sailor Moon smashing out windows.
“This can’t be?” Amara said. “The Negaverse must have gotten to her.”
“Must be. We have to try and stop her.”
Amara ran into the crowd. “Sailor Moon! You must stop this immediately! You are a good person who fights for truth and justice.” Sailor Moon turned and slapped Amara sending her flying into Michelle.
“She won’t listen,” Michelle said.
“We have to call the others now,” Amara growled.
“Scouts we have an emergency. Apparently Sailor Moon is creating mayhem at the west end of the city,” Michelle said through her communicator.
“How can that be?” Trista asked. “She’s right here at Neflite’s talking with Molly.”
“What!” both girls said at once.
“Then that must mean...” Michelle started.
“The Negaverse has copied Sailor Moon’s profile to attack the city,” Amara finished.
“We’re on our way,” Trista said.
Meanwhile in the Negaverse, Queen Beryl mechanically laughed. The plan was perfect. She had just watched Sailor Uranus go towards what she thought was her leader.
“Your majesty,” Prince Diamond and the rest of the Dark Moon clan appeared. “You called for us.”
Beryl composed herself. “Yes, Prince Diamond. Get the Team 5 and get over to where the action is. Mistress 9 is already waiting for your arrival. She is leading this mission.”

Quick Notes: Sorry, had to leave a cliff. Stay tuned for the next chapter. Again thanks to Victoria Violet for helping me get back into writing Sailor Moon again. I have been inspired to get this book finished.
