Neflite walked into the room where his beautiful wife was lying on the bed. The room was simple, a bed with a few chairs off to the side and a couple tables. He could tell the woman was awake though she didn't give any indication that she was. Beside the bed, there was stool for someone to sit. Neflite walked over to the stool, sat down and took a hold of one of the woman's hands.

The woman noticed her hand being raised and she turned to see it was her husband, Neflite. "What happened?" she asked quietly.

"The Negaverse attacked the party and you were rushed to the hospital," Neflite answered quietly. It was the only way to contain the anger in his voice.

"I remember the Negaverse and falling...Wait, why do I feel different? Like I'm not complete for some reason."

Neflite went silent and turned away from Molly. Molly slowly lifted his hand to her face. The slight touch startled the ex-general and he turned back to her. "My love... I... you... you were sent to emergency surgery and if you weren't you would not have survived."

"Neflite, you're acting like something is wrong." She noticed there were tears in his eyes. It was the first time she could recall him crying.

"There really is no way to say it is there? During surgery there was compilations with the baby," Neflite said slowly allowing the hurt to be shown.

Molly jolted upright in bed clasping both hands to her stomach. When her hands felt nothing, she knew the baby was gone. "Where is our baby?"

Neflite could not speak; he just stared into her eyes allowing the tears to fall freely.

"NOOO!!!!!!" Molly screamed.

Out in the waiting room in front of the room, all the scouts could hear Molly's scream. They jumped at the sound but refrained from going to their friend. Neflite was with her and they needed some time to be alone.

"Oh poor Molly," Serena sobbed. "She doesn't deserve this. We should be the ones being punished, not her."

"Serena, she is not the one being punished," Jedite came out. "The pain is for Neflite. He started to love the baby, as if it was his own flesh and blood. The Negaverse probably used Molly as bait."

"Those creeps are going to pay," Lita hissed, "for hurting our friend."

"For hurting who?" Mina asked as she came up behind the scouts. The scouts turned to Mina. Malachite came up to her and placed an arm around her shoulders. He knew she was going to need his support.

"Jedite believes that the Negaverse was using Molly as bait to trap us," Amy said wiping her tears.

"What? Why those..." Mina started but stopped as Malachite cuddled her close to him.

Katsy walked up to the window to Molly's room. She looked in as the married couple embraced each other. She watched as Neflite held her close as they both mourned over the child and eventually Molly fell asleep from crying. Neflite laid her down and then laid down beside her. There wasn't much room on the bed for two people but he didn't care and nothing anyone was going to say would stop him.

As the oldest of the four sisters watched, she thought about her life when she lived in the future. She had no one to comfort her in times of need. There had been no one for her to go back to and as of yet, she had no children to occupy her time. A few months ago, she found out Mina had a baby and lost him. Katsy didn't even have anyone there to give a shoulder to lean on. None of her sisters did.

Katsy didn't know long she stood there. She didn't even notice the scouts had left the room. She was now alone. That was, until her three sisters came up behind her.

"Katsy?"

Katsy turned to Birty. "Hi, girls."

"How is she?" Avery asked.

"Sleeping. She and Neflite fell asleep a little while ago."

"We should head for home," Prisma said. "There is nothing more we can do tonight. Everyone except for Mina and Serena left."

"Mina is in so much shock and she even saw this coming. Well, not Molly going to the hospital but she did see the Negaverse attack and there was nothing she could have done to stop it," Birty said. "Malachite and Darien are also staying to make sure the Negaverse doesn't come back."

"That is a good idea," Katsy said. "Let's head for home."

Over in the shadows, Mongo stood watching the sisters. He wanted to make sure Queen Beryl succeeded. He didn't want to hear a boring, yelling lecture about failing from the queen.

"Report!"

Mongo turned and saw Prince Diamond. "Will you keep it down," Mongo hissed. "They will hear you."

"Queen Beryl wants a report," the prince whispered.

"She succeeded. The baby is gone," Mongo stated bluntly.

"Excellent!" Diamond didn't sound excited. As much as he didn't like the red head, she was carrying his child and now the baby was gone. "Let's get out of here before the scouts find us."

Both men disappeared in a flash.

The next day, all the scouts were at the hospital bright and early. Serena and Mina were sleeping in their men's arms when the scouts arrived. They were about to wake them up when Lita noticed a familiar woman walk down the hall. She recognized the woman as the waitress from the restaurant she and the Starlights went to a lot.

Lita quickly ran over to the woman. "Kim," she called.

The woman turned to Lita. "Oh, hi, Lita," she said.

"What brings you here?" Lita asked.

"I did what you suggested. I'm getting out of the marriage and today I'm having a Ultra sound."

"That's great," Lita smiled but her voice sounded sad.

"What's wrong?"

"Our friend Molly just had a miscarriage," Lita explained as a tear slid down her cheek.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," Kim said. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"No, not really. We're hoping that Molly may be released today and if Neflite has anything to do about it, she will be."

"Wouldn't she need to stay in the hospital for a couple days?"

"Usually. But Neflite will want to get out of here today. Well, I better get back to my friends."

"If you are still here when the Ultra sound is finished, I'll come over and give my condolences."

"That would be nice."

Lita turned from Kim and walked back to the others. Kim got a quick look at the gang. She was quite surprised that the group was large. No wonder Molly's wedding was huge. She has lots of friends.

"Hey, Lita, who was that you were talking to?" Jedite asked.

"She is the one we mentioned about that day in the restaurant. She is pregnant and is getting out of an abusive marriage." Lita looked to see that their other friends were now awake.

"She is taking our advice," Seiya said. "Good for her. That husband of hers is a pain in the ass."

"Neflite!" Serena yelled when she seen him come out of Molly's room. Serena stood up and ran up to him, ignoring everyone else.

Neflite gave Serena a cold stare before realizing who he was looking at. His eyes softened a bit.

"Will Molly be going home today?" she asked.

Neflite slowly nodded. "Please stay with Molly. I'm going away for a while." He gently moved her out of the way as red swirls surrounded him.

"Oh no you don't!" Zoisite blurted. No sooner was Neflite gone before Zoisite disappeared in a swirl of cherry blossoms.

"What is going on?" Amy asked.

"Neflite is going to train then go after the Negaverse and Zoisite is going to stop him," Malachite stated simply.

* * * * * * * *

Neflite reappeared in an abandoned village with some mountains near by. His anger was now consuming him, which scared the hell out of him. He didn't want any of the girls to see the anger. He needed to find a way to release the anger without hurting any of his friends.

As Neflite was about to level the ground, Zoisite arrived.

"Neflite!" he yelled.

"Go away Zoisite!" Neflite snapped with a fireball in hand. "I don't want to hurt you."

"That's a first coming from you! If you fire that energy ball, you could revert back to being evil. Do you want that? You are not the only who is angry, we all are."

"But you didn't have a pregnant wife who just had a miscarriage." Neflite stared at the ball in his hand.

"No, but how do you think Mina feels?"

"What does she have anything do with this?"

"You forget that she had a child and now her child is gone." Zoisite took a tentative step closer to Neflite.

"But she didn't lose hers to the Negaverse."

"What do you plan to do? Level the land and then go after Beryl? You know yourself that is a suicidal plan. And it wouldn't work. She would be expecting you to do something like that. Don't you think she would have thought out the whole plan before taking action?"

"THEN WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!?"

Zoisite was now starting to loose his patience. "We come up with a plan to destroy them once and for all. But it has to be a surprise attack. Jedite believes that Molly was just bait for the trap. How would Molly feel if you went after Beryl?"

"She would be devastated." Neflite allowed the ball of flame disappear from his hand and Zoisite knew it was now safe to go near him.

Zoisite placed a comforting hand on his friend. "We're all in this together."

For the time being all anger left him. "I have to be strong in order to survive. We all do."

"Let's not let the bitch get the last word this time. She always did when we worked with her. In fact, we are at an advantage. We know how she thinks. We know what she wants and what she will do to get it."

Neflite crumpled to the ground, shaking. He was now able to see what error he was about to make. He was letting Queen Beryl win before the battle even started.

"Why don't we just sit here and talk? Perhaps talking might release some of that anger that you have been holding since last night." Zoisite knelt and sat on the ground beside Neflite.

Over at the hospital, Serena was helping Molly get dressed when a female doctor came in. The doctor went up to Serena.

"Excuse me," the doctor said. "May a have a word with you?"

"Sure. I'll be right back, Mol," Serena said.

Molly sat back on the bed as Serena followed the doctor out in the hall.

"I didn't want to ask this in front of Mrs. Stanton," Doctor started when they were out of the room. "I was told that Mr. Stanton was taking her out."

"Yeah," Serena said. "But he had a few errands to run and he asked me to make sure that Molly got home safely. I am her best friend."

"It's nice to know that she has wonderful friends to care for her." The doctor looked over at the waiting room and saw the rest of the gang. She reached into her pocket of her lab coat and brought out a bottle of pills. "Here, this will help ease the pain for Mrs. Stanton. But be warned, the pills are strong enough that Mrs. Stanton could get addicted to them."

"Thanks, I'll let Neflite know," Serena said, taking the pills. Serena turned and went back to help Molly get ready.

When Molly was ready to leave, Lita and Seiya noticed Kim was heading their way. Kim walked over to the gang and up to Molly. She was down from her ultra sound.

"Mrs. Stanton," Kim said. "You don't know me but my name is Kim and your friends met me in a restaurant a few weeks ago. In a way I know how you feel. I may be pregnant right now but I was in an abusive marriage. And thanks to your friends, I have the courage to move on without that bastard. If you ever want someone to talk to, you can talk to me. I watched my sister last year go through the same thing you are."

Molly looked to the stranger. She remembered when Lita and Trista had told her about the incident in the restaurant. Molly tried to give a faint smile to show that she was happy that her friends had helped a total stranger.

Kim, on a whim, held out her arms to Molly. Molly instantly went into the woman's arms, crying. Serena and the others were surprised that Molly would take comfort the woman's arms.

"Would you like to talk?" Kim whispered.

Molly pulled away and walked a little down the hall where her and Kim could speak alone. When they were far enough away, Molly spoke.

"My friend...had a party last night," Molly sniffed trying to calm her tears. "There was a problem and I fell. I was rushed to surgery...and there were..."

"It's ok," Kim said. Kim pulled the sobbing woman close again as she cried controllably.

"Molly, would you like a ride home?" Darien asked as he came over.

Kim looked at the tall man. "I think that would be wise," she whispered.

With the help of Serena and Kim, Darien got Molly into the car with Serena in the backseat with her.

"Thank you, miss," Darien said.

"Sure no problem. The name is Kim." Kim offered her hand to Darien, which he grasped with his own.

"I'm Darien. Later on when Molly's husband is home, why don't you stop over. He may not want to see you right now but Molly needs all the support she can get."

"I will do that," Kim said.

Darien got in the car and drove away. Not a word was said during the whole trip. Molly leaned on her friend's shoulder as she silently cried. Molly didn't think she could ever live on but she knew she had to. But the question was how? How could she continue on when part of her heart was now gone?

* * * * * * * *

For several hours they sat and talked. They talked about how they were enemies before, their past on the Moon, and since they came back to life. Their lives had surely changed for the better since the scouts defeated them four years ago. As they talked, Neflite was able to control his emotions.

In a way he couldn't believe that he was confiding in his long time rival. It was all new to him to let his feelings out. To Zoisite, he already knew that it was better to talk about your problems to someone then it was to keep it bottled up inside. Zoisite would have exploded much like Neflite if it weren't for Malachite.

When Neflite was calm enough both men teleported back to the mansion. Neflite knew Molly would have been released by now. When the men were back, Serena and Darien were seating on the large sofa in the living room when they got there. Neflite knew Molly was home.

"She's upstairs sleeping," Serena said as she saw Neflite. She didn't even give him enough time to ask where his wife was. "Oh, and the doctor gave me a bottle of pills for Molly's pain and said to be careful, the pills can be addictive."

"Thank you," he said a little too rough. He left the room and headed upstairs.

"What happened?" Darien asked Zoisite when Neflite was gone.

"As I predicted," the smaller man said. "He was going to train then attack Beryl. Luckily I was able to talk him down before he leveled an abandoned village."

"How did you do that?" asked Serena.

"By simply telling him, if he did that, he would start to revert back into being evil."

"That would do it," Darien said.

"Where are the others?"

"They are outside. As much as I want to give Molly her space, I'm afraid of what the two of them will do if someone isn't here to watch over them," Serena said.

"That is wise, but we should at least keep our distance," Zoisite agreed.

"That is what I just finished telling her," Darien said. "Oh, there is a young woman who might be coming by."

"Why?"

"She is the one that Lita spoke to this morning from the restaurant that day when the Starlights were dining and they intervened in a situation between a husband and wife," Darien said.

Just then Amy entered the room. "Zoisite," she said. "How did it go?"

"Neflite is here safe, if that is what you mean," Zoisite said as he turned and approached her.

"I've been meaning to ask you two." Serena wanted a change in subject. "How serious are you two getting?

"I'm not sure," Amy confessed with a slight blush. "All I know is all the feelings that I had for him back on the Moon are starting to cloud my judgment from the feelings I feel today."

"Amy, I already told you," Zoisite said. "Take a step back and listen to what your heart and mind are saying. Your mind is saying what you should feel but what does your heart say?"

"Zoisite has become a 'shrink'," Serena mused. "Head for cover."

"Ha, ha," Zoisite said sarcastically. He crossed his arms and tried to glare at the future queen but with no avail. Now that he knew what the future was, he couldn't try to be mad at the blond without smiling.

"What is it with you," Zoisite said after giving up at trying to glare. "You are always so full of love."

Serena shrugged her shoulders as she sobered. She couldn't stop thinking about Molly. Her friend was in need of friends. Everyone always told her that she was easy at making friends but how could she bring light and love back into her best friend and husband. It was going to be a hard task.

At the same time she had to also lead the Sailor Scouts. She knew she had to put her friends on the sidelines as they prepare for the greatest battle that they have ever faced. They needed to destroy the Negaverse once and for all and bring peace.

It was going to be a hard task. Though it was going to be a little easier now that her family knew her secret and from what Raye's mother had told the scouts a few months prior, Sailor Earth and Sailor Sun who were also Serena's friends would return after being gone for over a thousand years.
