Tuxedo Mask offered Nephrite a snack and a drink and a chair to doze in while the Senshi gathered together, performing some sort of meditation ritual which would increase their energy. Nephrite accepted gratefully; he hadn't had anything to eat or drink since coming back to life seven hours earlier, and he was getting worn out from all the activity and stress. Ironically, coming back to life seemed to have left him weak. He was afraid to go to sleep, afraid that too much time would go by, more precious hours out of the few remaining until time ran out. But he couldn't keep his eyes open another minute. He made Tuxedo Mask promise to wake him up as soon as the Senshi were ready, and finally let his eyes drift shut.

He dreamed he was back in the void. There was something he had to do, something urgent, but he couldn't quite remember what it was, and vague but insurmountable obstacles kept getting in his way. In the distance he could hear Naru crying out his name, pleading for him to come to her and help her, but he couldn't get to her. Naru-chan! he called out to her, but it was no use. There was something very important he had to do first, but first he had to do something else and then something else, and the longer it took the farther away Naru's voice seemed to get...
